I’ve loved horses as far back as I can remember. There’s a picture of me, at six months old, sitting on top of a leggy thoroughbred, smiling ear to ear. I guess that’s where it all began… and never ended.
As a kid, I was always at the barn. Riding. Mucking. Grooming. They were activities I lived for. I'd have been content to live with the horses.
In my early twenties I was blessed to be able to buy my first horse, an off-track thoroughbred. She was a poster child for every stereotype that goes along with red-headed mares. Not long after buying Foxy, I got pregnant with my daughter. With my unborn baby’s safety in mind, I stepped out of the stirrups and began to focus solely on groundwork. In this time, I discovered how little I knew of the horse.
Natural horsemanship became my passion. I’ve consumed myself with studying why the horse acts and responds the way he does with his herd and with humans. I unlocked another level of horsemanship. My desires to help horses and their humans continued to grow.
Equine bodywork is my way of helping them feel their best. I get to listen to them. I get to help their humans understand something new about their horse. My goal is to increase the bond between the two. It’s my small way of giving back to these magnificent creatures, for all they have done for me.

My role is that of a facilitator, assisting your animal to attain and maintain a naturally healthy state. The specific results of the bodywork sessions will be different for each animal: beneficial effects of massage and bodywork include blood and lymph circulation, endorphin release, increased trust and mood elevation, improved flexibility, body awareness, muscle efficiency, increase in performance, shortened recovery time from illness, injury, or surgery, emotional calming, and injury prevention.
